Have been passing by this spot every single time I visited Antwerp and I was always wondering about how to get in! Had seen some amazing shots of the interior architecture, which made me try harder and find a way to make my own. And this time it finally happened! This Stock Exchange was the first building in the world designed as stock exchange and trade exchange. Built in 1531 by Domien de Waghemakere, the entire complex burned down in 1858. The present construction is the 19th century neo-gothic renovation. All but abandoned for more than a decade until future construction plans are approved, this place is pure magic!
