Last Sunday morning I had the chance to be part of the Vake park protest against new hotel construction plans at Vake Park, in one of the corners of Tbilisi. The protest has been happening for 2 months now. Locals are still gathered around the wall construction of the Vake Park aiming at stopping the ongoing construction work. Last Sunday Vake park was turned into a free space of grass root action which in combination with the Really, Really Free Market (RRFM), a temporary market based on an alternative gift economy, shaped a unique atmosphere around this important initiative!
